Your CrossFit Story – Corinna

How did you get into CrossFit?

Through a friend who does CrossFit. He told me a lot about it, so I wanted to try it.

What brought you to CrossFit Four Horsemen?

I checked the internet and looked for the closest CrossFit gym. At CrossFit Four Horsemen I booked a free CrossFit trial training and since then I’m there.

How long have you been doing CrossFit and what did you do before CrossFit?  

I finished the beginner / on ramp class in November and from this time on, I attended the regular WODs or the weightlifting class. Before CrossFit I was active in equestrian sports as well as working out in a global gym.

What’s your favorite CrossFit movement? What’s your least favorite CrossFit movement?

🙂 Deadlifts, KBS, Push Press
All over I would say, I really like core exercises like plank hold, sit ups, v-ups…

What‘s your advice for CrossFit rookies?

Don’t forget to have fun and keep on pushing yourself – Then you’ll see progress!

How did you feel after your first WOD?

I sweated a lot and I was done – But happy about finishing my first workout.

What were your goals when joining CrossFit? What‘s your current goal?

I wanted to become stronger and do the workouts RX. I always want to imrpove my technique. My very personal goal is to get the pull ups!

What or who is/was the biggest motivator/inspiration?

Suffering in the WOD with the others and the feeling afterwards, when you realize you made it. Moreover, it motivates me that in CrossFit there is always something new to learn.

What achievements through CrossFit have you recognized in daily life?

I’m definitely more balanced. My sleep improved a lot and I feel much fitter.

What is your greatest achievement in the gym so far?

It is the small steps and everyday successes, that I am having. That can be more weights, better technique, having more routine in a movement or getting stronger. For me my very first RX workout was a huge success, though!

What’s your goal for 2019?

I want to stay motivated and don’t forget to have fun. Pushing myself to the limits to get stronger and better. So I can do more workouts RX. Participating in a competition would be great.

What do you do outside the box? What’s your job? Do you have another Hobby?

I study nutritional sciences. In my spare time I like to hang out with my friends or care about my horse.
